Keepsake storybook

At the end of every school year my desk is filled with books to sign. When the trend started I wondered why parents created one more thing that they have to remember and track each year. Then I had my own kids and joined the book ban-wagon.

Why?

Well, mostly because I felt a little guilty. You see, I am the parent that says no to A LOT of things. Yes, I go over the top for somethings, but my life isn’t INSTA worthy. My kids clothes don’t usually match, I often wear a mom bun, and my house has many unfinished projects. So… giving a teacher a book to sign each year was something little I could manage. I also came to the realization that these teachers get a glimpse into my child’s daily life and see them in a way that I don’t.

So…If you too want to do something a little extra, below are a some of the books I have signed over the years.

For my kids I choose to use the book, You and created a note that could be used every year. I even laminated it so that it would survive the wear and tear.
